Bird Watching Tower in Kellovuori, Virolahti
At its best during the autumn migration, the tower is well worth visiting also in the spring. The tower is a good place for spotting birds of prey and Arctic waterfowl. Located on a hill, the tower overlooks the Gulf of Finland and Vilkkiläntura. The covered tower has two platforms. It was built in 1980.
Driving directions: After having passed the Virolahti church, turn to the Border Guard Station and Hurppu. From the road to Hurppu, turn to Vilkkiläntura, and right after the turn, take the unnamed gravel road, turning diagonally to the right. The distance to the tower is about one kilometre.
